Description

The Hephaestus at the Best tier — Polymaker PolyMax PC handle paired with a polycarbonate or vapor-smoothed ABS/ASA head. Same 540g head (full size) and 35mm octagonal handle as Better, but in our premium-engineered material set for stiffer, cleaner energy transfer.

Available in three sizes:

  • Full Size: A big heavy showpiece of an implement. Weighing up to 2lbs, it produces serious sensations and sounds, and is best used at your scene's crescendo.
  • 3/4 Size: More comfortable for prolonged use while still being a heavy impact toy. This is the "standard size" that most people will find comfortable.
  • 1/2 Size: Light and agile, while still being at least as severe as any paddle due to the physics of its lever-arm handle.

Care Instructions

Most of our toys should be cared for in the same way; do not use a dishwasher, wash with hot soapy water, do not expose to high heat (over 200F/90C) or solvents (acetone, strong alcohol, many household cleansers.) And do not boil them. You can think of them like wood or leather, but much less sensitive to humidity and they require no regular conditioning. For glossy finishes you want to keep shiny and fresh, we recommend Novus plastic polish and cleaner.

Our PETG toys are more sensitive to high temperatures than our other toys, and if you live in a warm or hot climate, we recommend against storing your toys in a hot car or shed, as they may get tacky.

Our nylon materials (anything from our 'Ultimate' and 'Play Party' lines) are immune to most solvents and cleansers and can be sanitized 'in the field' at a play party (or wherever) with your choice of alcohol, quaternary cleanser, etc. To maintain the best finish they should still not be washed in a dishwasher or boiled.

Evilly Over-Engineered

Rigorously Tested

Evil-Engineering makes over-engineered impact toys from aerospace-grade thermoplastics. Every design is printed in-house on enclosed, high-temperature industrial printers using materials like polycarbonate, carbon fiber nylon, and glass fiber reinforced ABS — the same classes of material found in ballistic shields, aircraft components, and industrial machinery.

These aren't hobby prints in PLA. They're functional tools built to perform, with layer orientation, wall thickness, joint geometry, and material selection all driven by the specific mechanical demands of each component.
