Every board ships with QoL firmware — our custom VIAL fork with autocorrect (3,667-word dictionary), autoshift, and smart defaults all enabled from the moment you plug in. No setup needed, no configurator deep-dive required. Want to customize? Everything's fully open through VIAL, and source is on GitHub. A QR code in every package links you to firmware updates, the VIAL configurator, and a quick-start guide.
About Evil Engineering
Evil Engineering started with a simple belief: the objects you touch every day deserve to be engineered with the same care and obsession that goes into the things that launch rockets and build bridges. So we applied aerospace-grade thermoplastics, layer-orientation engineering, and a frankly unreasonable amount of iteration to two categories: mechanical keyboards and impact toys.
We are techies who type a lot, and care about the feel and sound of our daily drivers and collectors’ pieces. We are lifestyle Dommes and subs who have extensively product tested our impact toys from both perspectives.
Every impact toy is designed around material science, balance physics, and the specific loading conditions each component will actually face in use. The striking face and the handle aren't made the same way, because they aren't the same problem.
Every keyboard that leaves our shop ships with custom firmware that works out of the box — with features like autocorrect, autoshift, context-aware haptics, and RGB that tells you what's happening.
We 3D print in polycarbonate, plain and carbon fiber nylon, glass-filled ABS, and other abrasive and high temperature materials that most makers won't touch — because the right material isn't always the easy one. Then, depending on the piece and its needs, we post-process it accordingly, including annealing, vapor smoothing, and hand-sanding and polishing until it is a one of a kind work of art. Made both by machine and by hand.
If you've ever held something and thought this feels exactly right — that's what we're chasing, every time.

Rigorously Tested
Evil-Engineering makes over-engineered impact toys from aerospace-grade thermoplastics. Every design is printed in-house on enclosed, high-temperature industrial printers using materials like polycarbonate, carbon fiber nylon, and glass fiber reinforced ABS — the same classes of material found in ballistic shields, aircraft components, and industrial machinery.
These aren't hobby prints in PLA. They're functional tools built to perform, with layer orientation, wall thickness, joint geometry, and material selection all driven by the specific mechanical demands of each component.

Our Materials: PETG
PETG is our accessibility-tier material — easy to print, widely available, and offering a solid balance of toughness and flexibility. It's the material that makes our "lite" product line possible....
Read moreOur Materials: ABS-GF (Glass Fiber Reinforced ABS)
Glass fiber reinforcement increases ABS's stiffness and dimensional stability while reducing warping during printing. The result is a material that holds tight tolerances and resists deformation under sustained load. Keyboard...
Read moreOur Materials: ABS
ABS is one of the most widely understood engineering plastics, and for good reason. It's stiff, reasonably tough, prints reliably in our enclosed heated chambers, and — critically for certain...

PolyMax PC is a nano-reinforced polycarbonate engineered specifically for impact resistance — Polymaker rates it among the toughest printable thermoplastics available. We call this material out by name because its...
